a concept that I feel like isn’t explored enough in comics is the fact that power rings really do take a lot out of you, which makes sense when you’re literally willing your thoughts into reality. It definitely feels like there’s SOME kind of meta to be explored here but I’m regrettably not smart enough to get too into it beyond thinking about how when you wield a weapon that runs on willpower, you’d better have a whole lot of it for it to be of any kind of use.

additionally, what must it feel like across the other corps. If yellow rings run on fear, requiring control of that fear to be of any use, are you forced to actively feel and continuously conquer that fear any time you wield it? I know there are some quotes from sinestro’s solo run that deal with something along these lines, and that scarecrow, when given a ring during blackest night, comments with glee about being about to feel scared again.

I think it’s still pretty neat to think about. I wish it would be brought up more.
